Keep
It Hot? Or Not?
There have been many questions on whether or not spa water should be cooled or not.
The answer is that it depends.
If you spa/hot tub is used frequently, the water should be kept hot. The water temperature should be at the temperature you like it at or a few degrees
cooler.
If you do not use your spa frequently, it would be acceptable to cool
the water down.
It takes approximately 30 minutes to warm up a spa/hot tub. So if you use your spa frequently it will be an energy and money saver to keep you spa at or near the temperature you like it at. For more tips on spa maintenance, see our sections on
